I think it is probably safe to assume that the only time of year you can get caught wearing a tacky sweater is at Christmas time. Big Santa Clause faces, galloping reindeer, Frosty the snow man designs, these are iconic images that can only be worn during the holidays, and only when you are at your most casual in the privacy of your own home. Otherwise, a solid color sweater should be just fine!
