Traditionally, an Italian suit had a three buttoned, double breasted jacket with slit pockets and lapels that were large, with a small amount of padding in the shoulder area without looking to bulky. The pants were pleated and cuffed and ended slightly where the shoes met the pant cuff. Nowadays though, the fashion is more of a single breasted suit jacket with two front buttons instead of three. The pants continue to look the same but may be slightly higher up from the shoe than the previous fashion.
