One of the great advantages of flat screen TV’s is their light weight. If you were to look for a stand to accommodate a CRT television, you would need a very sturdy piece of furniture. But even though current LCD’s and Plasmas are relatively light, you should still look at the specifications of the stand you are inetrested in, and make sure it can support the weight of your TV.
